INSTAR In Theaters Now With "Spike And Mike’s Animation Festival"
Celebrates With Free Soundtrack CD

photo: karl von kries of instar in the studio, working on Pat Smith's animated film "Drink" Boston, June 11, 2001 - Indie rockers INSTAR are touring the USA - as the soundtrack to a film included in the infamous "Spike and Mike’s Animation festival". Backing MTV Animator Pat Smith's new film "Drink", the Boston-based group combined music-concréte, Foley, hard rock, and tribal drumming to produce a fitting accompaniment to the disturbing images of Smith's hand-drawn opus.

To celebrate the inclusion of the film in the Spike and Mike's festival, Instar is releasing an edited version of the "Drink" soundtrack as the B-side to the group's new single, "The Future's Going to Forget You"

The single was sent to over 800 college radio stations in March, and is available FREE to fans who join the Instar mail list at http://www.instarmusic.com.
